Our Parish, Our History, Our Future
St. Paul’s Anglican Church is a welcoming parish community in San Miguel de Allende, rooted in sacramental worship, strong preaching, shared reflection, intentional community, and social engagement.
A Parish in San Miguel Since 1959
St. Paul’s was founded as a mission of the Anglican Church in Mexico in 1959 and attained parish status in 1966.
The parish has been shaped by permanent expatriates, part-time residents, local Mexicans, English and Spanish worship, and bilingual liturgies for shared celebrations of special importance.
St. Paul’s continues to serve as an Anglican expression of Christian faith in the historic, artistic, and culturally rich setting of San Miguel de Allende.

Lay Leadership & Parish Oversight
The laity and clergy share leadership in the Anglican / Episcopal Church. The elected Vestry is especially tasked with oversight of temporal matters and the guidance and well-being of the parish.
Nine Vestry members serve St. Paul’s, with three members elected at the Annual Meeting each year, creating a rotational structure of seasoned experience and apprenticeship.
The Senior Warden is appointed by the Rector, and the Junior Warden is elected by the sitting Vestry. The Vestry meets monthly and as needed to conduct parish business in accordance with Canon Law and Parish By-Laws.
Current Leadership
Senior Warden, Junior Warden, Clerk, Treasurer, committee chairs, and elected members serve together in parish governance.
Three-Year Terms
Members serve rotating three-year terms, supporting continuity, accountability, and shared leadership.
Update needed before final publication: Confirm the current Vestry roster and update from 10 to 9 members according to the new website requirements.
Looking Toward the Future Together
Vision 2030 is St. Paul’s parish-wide effort to listen, discern, and plan for the future of the church over the next five to ten years.
The process invites the congregation to share hopes, dreams, priorities, and concerns about the physical spaces of the church and the ways St. Paul’s may expand its mission, ministries, worship, and community life.
This section can host survey links, planning updates, committee notes, timelines, architectural concepts, parish feedback, and future announcements.
